  Hen-Vai Wu, MD, FACP

Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Hematology and the American Board of Medical Oncology, Dr. Wu established Somerset Hematology-Oncology Associates in 1980. Also since 1980, Dr. Wu has been on the Medical Staffs at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, St. Peter's University Hospital and Somerset Medical Center where he was Member-At-Large on the Executive Committee.

Dr. Wu is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncologists and is past President of the Somerset Unit of the American Cancer Society. Currently, Dr. Wu holds the position of President of the Asia Initiative of New Jersey of the American Cancer Society.

While continuing to teach as Clinical Assistant Professor at UMDNJ, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and as Visiting Professor at the Xinjiang Medical University, Dr. Wu is also the Principal Investigator for Clinical Studies for the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group at Somerset Medical Center. As Principal Investigator for Cooperative and Industrial Sponsored Clinical Trials here at Somerset Hematology-Oncology, Dr. Wu participates in numerous regional and national clinical trials.

 Kathleen Toomey, MD

Dr. Toomey earned her medical degree from the University of Bologna and completed her Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and at St. Peter's Medical Center where she was Chief Resident in the Department of Medicine.

Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology, Dr. Toomey is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists, the American Medical Association, the American Cancer Society and the Somerset County Medical Society.

Dr. Toomey, in addition to being on the Medical Staffs at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and St. Peter's University Hospital, is on staff at Somerset Medical Center where she is the Cancer Conference Moderator, a current member of the Board of Trustees and is the first woman President of the Medical-Dental Staff. Since 2003, she has served as Chairperson on the Medical Advisory Board of The Wellness Community of Central NJ and is the Medical Director of The Steeplechase Cancer Center.

Dr. Toomey is a past recipient of the Wellness Community's Spirit of Hope Award, the Paul Harris Fellow Award and has been included in the "Top Doctors" issue of New York Magazine and in the most recent "NJ's Top Doctors" issue of New Jersey Monthly.

                                                        
                                                                                                                                                                     
    Steven E. Young, MD

Born in Brooklyn, Dr. Young received his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila in the Philippines. He continued his postdoctoral training and completed his internship in Manila at Santo Tomas University Hospital in 1990. Returning to Brooklyn, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Brooklyn Hospital Center followed by his Hematology-Oncology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital of New York, becoming Chief Fellow in Hematology. Dr. Young completed his training in the Visiting Physician Program at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA, where he was Bone Marrow Transplant Fellow. He joined Somerset Hematology Oncology Associates in 1998.

Dr. Young, a member of both the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncologists, is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Hematology and the American Board of Medical Oncology.

In addition to seeing patients at our Steeplechase office, Dr. Celo treats patients at our South Plainfield office.


  Jonathan Z. Rosenbluth, MD

Dr. Rosenbluth received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and did his residency in Internal Medicine at Cooper University Medical Center in Camden, NJ. He completed his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Drexel University College of Medicine – Hahnemann University Hospital. He also holds a Master’s degree in Public Health - Health Policy and Management from Columbia University in New York.

Prior to joining our staff, Dr. Rosenbluth was an associate physician with Georgia Cancer Specialists in Atlanta, Georgia, and was a member of the Wellstar Health System Cancer Committee. He joined Somerset Hematology-Oncology Associates in 2008.

He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Dr. Rosenbluth's interests of specialty include lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and palliative care.

In addition to seeing patients at our Steeplechase office, Dr. Rosenbluth treats patients at our South Plainfield office.

   Andrei M. Dobrescu, MD

Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Dobrescu received his Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. Most recently, he was the Chief Fellow of Hematology/Oncology at Winthrop University Hospital on Long Island.

Dr. Dobrescu was a Fellow in bone marrow transplantation at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Hospital in Manhattan and an Academic Hospitalist at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT.

Additionally, Dr. Dobrescu was Clinical Instructor for students at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in Manhattan and Clinical Instructor for students and medical residents at both St. Vincent’s and Winthrop University Hospitals.
